Playing spoons
Below is pictures of hold to hold and play the spoons, as well as other pictures.

Just regular kitchen spoons. I like a pair that matches, makes it easier to hold. These are from the 1970's.

Here is the next step. See where my fingers are now? Notice also the space between the two spoons.

Now see the final placement of my fingers and my thumb? Also the space is still between the spoons.

Now you play. Take your left hand and hold it loosly over the spoons which are resting on your left knee. Your grip on the spoons are firm in the palm of your hand, but not so firm with the thumb area (where the fingers and thumb hold the spoons). You strike the spoons on your knee, then the palm of your hand. then again on the kee, but to the rhythm of the music. Start slow, and see what you can add.

There are many tricks you can do with the spoons, to include changing the sound they produce, with striking them on different parts of your body.
Here are more pictures.

A few of my many spoons. Can you tell I love spoons. Anytime we go to flea markets or anyplace that sells old stuff, Im in the spoon section looking for additions to my collection.

It is the green spoon hat!!!! My family used to wear these all the time. Mainly because they breathe and keep the sun off of your head. I used to wear one when I was younger (with out the spoons) and thought it would be nice to have another one. I just don't wear it that much. Nice spoons on the hat eh? A present from my child hood friend, Eve Wentworth. Thanks Evie!
Come back and check for more. See you soon!!!
